CBSE Exam 2023: ChatGPT prohibited during board exams.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has forbidden the use of ChatGPT, an AI-based programme, in the upcoming class 10, 12, and board exams, according to officials.
A chatbot named ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) was created by OpenAI and released in November 2022. Depending on the input it receives, ChatGPT can generate speeches, music, marketing material, news stories, student essays, or text that resembles human speech.
"Students are not permitted to bring any electronic devices into the exam center." This includes using devices to access ChatGPT in order to avoid using unfair means, according to a senior board official.
The admit card also has a cautionary instruction saying, "You should not indulge in any unfair practice." If found, you will be booked under Unfair Means (UFM) Activity, and action will be taken as per the rules of the board. It also says, "Do not believe in fake videos and messages uploaded on social media." Do not spread rumours too. You could be booked under the "unfair means rule."
CBSE board exams are scheduled to be conducted between February 15 and April 5, and about 38 lakh students will be appearing in the CBSE board exams.
